Dreamers

Five days ago Komal and I decided to release Dream, Girl as a small act of care- to give you a little window of time to let life wash away, and to zone into the stories of ambitious women entrepreneurs. We wanted to give you something to inspire and uplift, but what you gave us in return can't be quantified by words. The flood of gratitude, passion, excitement, and joy you have shared with our team has given me so much hope.

Since Wednesday night, over 9,200 women and men have seen Dream, Girl in 81 different countries.

I sat in my living room yesterday with my husband Sal in disbelief. Two and a half years ago this was just a tiny idea, and I was just a scrappy freelancer in pajamas with a lot of ambition and a big dream. Never in a million years did I think we would be here today, 81 countries later.

But as well told Adrian Harewood in our CBC interview (see us at 24-min in) we still have a lot of work to do. Our team is dedicating the next two years (and beyond) to sharing the film with our community through screening events across the globe. Giving us a chance to communicate and connect on these important feminist issues. As Nancy Chorpenning (one of our hosts from Atlanta) e-mailed us this week:

"And you better BELIEVE that this woman will continue to fight, to speak truth to justice, to seek stories that inform and inspire, and to lend a hand to women who come behind. Till my dying day."

If you haven't had a chance to watch Dream, Girl yet, you have until midnight tonight EST and if you saw the film and loved it, please share it with anyone you think might enjoy.

Xx
Erin

PS- This Thursday, November 17th I'm so excited to be able to meet some of you in person in Amarillo, Texas for an exclusive brunch, fireside chat, and screening of Dream, Girl. If you are in the area come out and meet me and my mom! :-)
